Services Offered

CAPS provides high-quality, research-based, legally defensible, and scientifically sound consulting services to organizations. We respond to requests that include but are not limited to the following:

  • Job descriptions
  • Performance management
  • Personnel selection (selecting who to hire and promote)
  • Program evaluation
  • Training and leadership development
  • Survey design
  • Organizational assessment of needs

CAPS responds to other specialized projects tailored to your organization that relate to the capabilities and interests of our Industrial/Organizational Psychology faculty. Developmental, School, and Social Psychology faculty also provide consulting activities for their students under the CAPS umbrella.

Faculty Supervised, Student Led Delivery Method

The principal purpose of CAPS is to provide paid field-experience training for students in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and other graduate programs, with much of the work done at off-campus sites.

Each CAPS project is managed by a faculty member in the appropriate graduate Psychology program with students leading the design and implementation of the proposed project. For example, the faculty member supervises and organizes a small team of graduate students in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Masters and Ph.D. program who plan and deliver the proposed services to your organization.

Costs

Organizations contract with CAPS through the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and contract costs are negotiated to cover such expenses as travel, supplies, student, and faculty time. Please contact us to request a quote or if you have any other questions about our services. Contact us.
